Welcome to Moved Forward is a New Zealand registered company based in Auckland.

The business is owned and operated by Dean Thompson, a current solopreneur working on projects to innovate and improve problems that my customers experience and no other companies seem to want to improve. 

This year I have rewritten the website to explain the original idea of Moved Forward because clients visiting the website haven’t understood our service and the projects we offer. Since the last update, my business has created new ideas and products.

When I started creating my business, I needed support from my Body Corporate in getting work organised and working long hours for an employer, which is what we all need to do.

A Body Corporate building is a collection of owners who work who buy into a building to improve the structure to increase their sale price when they exit from that transaction.

I support committees and owners by offering several products, which are;

Small Jobs Sorted: I source the quote on your behalf, organise a proposal for a fixed price, and you manage the job, or if you need help, I can project management for an extra fee.

That’s it; we are fee-based, so you know how much we cost rather than markup. I called this product small product jobs sorted because it makes jobs smaller for the committee and owners when they need help with getting everything sorted.

Health and Safety Sorted: As a person qualified in health and safety, I can support a building in getting their documentation and process sorted and advise or review your contractors’ documents; unlike a building audit, I focus on the health and safety at work requirements.

LTMP Sorted (Long Term Maintenance Plans): We help you write your LTMP that is current with the challenge of the new act.

Suppose you are using another company to prepare your LTMP plan. In that case, we can help you review it by comparing it to current market pricing, which can better ensure that your plan is accurate. 

Some of the new innovative products I have created under the Moved Forward banner are Trade Checka and Casual Safety. I want to develop a new building resident management system called Moved-in within the next two years.
