I struggled as a Owner and Chairperson of a Unit within a Body Corporate.
I was alarmed to find out that the complex that I ran could not afford to paint our units as planned because we had only saved half the funds to complete the project.
The company that created the original LTMP could never explain why we were short of funds and blamed previous committees for not sourcing independent pricing. Not having funds made our painting project harder to achieve, during this time I spoke to many contractors who told me that underfunding of Long Term Maintenance Plans was the most common delay for Body Corporate clients.
Luckily we resolved the money issues without owners paying a large lump sum amount of money to complete the painting project.
Body Corporates and unit title properties are a collective of owners who invest in the complex like a business.
After years of research, creating relationships and planning, I launched Moved Forward.
